Hospitality: The region’s largest industry, employing 19% of the work force. Major employers include Walt Disney World Co., Universal Orlando, Marriott International and Darden Restaurants.
Technology: A $13.4 billion industry that employs 53,000 people. Major employers include Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman, National Center for Simulation and Siemens.
Life Science and Biotechnology: Currently one of only two regions worldwide constructing an all-new ‘medical city.’ Major projects include UCF’s Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences, Nemours Children’s Hospital and Central Florida Research Park.
Orlando is also proud to be the home of the nation’s third-largest university, University of Central Florida.
