B98.5 Announces Laugh For The Cure A Night of Comedy Benefitting Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta

ATLANTA – August 31, 2018 – Today B98.5 (WSB-FM/Atlanta) announced Laugh for the Cure, a night of comedy benefitting Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta at The Punchline Comedy Club on Oct. 3, 2018. The event will kick off Breast Cancer Awareness month, continuing the partnership between B98.5 and Komen Atlanta. The evening will be hosted by B98.5’s Tad, Drex and Kara of the Tad & Drex Morning show with sets from Jamie Bendall and Lace Larabee.

“We have a serious mission at Komen Atlanta, but sometimes laughter is the best medicine,” said Cati Diamond Stone, executive director of Komen Atlanta. “Laugh for the Cure is  a great way to gather the community  and not only laugh, but also raise funds to serve those in metro Atlanta who could not otherwise afford breast cancer screenings and services.”

Doors open on Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.; show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are now available for purchase for $25 (plus handling fee) at Punchline.com. Proceeds from tickets sales, along with a raffle the night of the show, will benefit Susan G. Komen Great Atlanta, to provide breast health and breast cancer services for those who cannot afford them in our community and to fund cutting-edge research to find the cures.

About Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta

Metro Atlanta women are dying of breast cancer more often when compared to women in the U.S. as a whole. And that has to change. Komen Atlanta fights breast cancer on two fronts: at home in metro Atlanta by providing breast health and breast cancer services for those who cannot afford them, and globally by funding cutting edge research to find cures. Komen Atlanta has raised $49.7 million since its inception in 1991, with over $38 million invested in Metro Atlanta to save lives locally and over $9 million invested to fund research to save lives all over the world. Komen Atlanta is part of the national Susan G. Komen organization, the largest private funder in the fight against breast cancer. For more information visit komenatlanta.org.
