Tuesday, January 03, 2017 — Cox Media Group (CMG) Tulsa TV has named Cathy Gunther as its new Vice President and General Manager for FOX 23 News (KOKI-TV), My Tulsa 41 (KMYT-TV) and MyTV (NOKI-TV), effective immediately. Previously, Gunther was General Sales Manager for the stations where she oversaw all advertising sales and revenue. She also led Cox Local Solutions (CLS), a full service digital agency serving Tulsa and Oklahoma City. CLS is a collaboration between Cox Media Group’s Television and Radio stations and Cox Media Sales.

Gunther’s broadcast career includes many years of experience in the sales and business industries, having worked as the Local Sales Manager for CMG’s previously-owned KTVU-TV in the San Francisco Bay Area and as the Business Development Manager for KTVU-TV’s duopoly station, KICU-TV. She also was the Digital Sales Manager for the Cowles California Media group and worked for KCOY CBS 12 and KKFX FOX11 in Santa Barbara, Calif., where she served as the Director of New Technology and later as the Local Sales Manager. She also has experience successfully managing banking, retail and tech companies.
