CMG Orlando Names J.R. Jaus Afternoon Drive Host for WWKA-FM

ORLANDO – Nov. 21, 2014 Cox Media Group (CMG) Orlando has named J.R. Jaus the new afternoon drive host for K92.3.  J.R. will be on air every weekday from 2 -7 p.m. starting Dec. 4.   Simultaneously, current host Drew Bland will transition to mid-days, and Jason Gellhause will move to nights. The addition of Jaus reinforces CMG Orlando’s dedication to a 100 percent local air staff on Orlando’s No. 1 rated WWKA-FM.

“J.R.’s passion for creating compelling radio is exciting and refreshing, he will be a great addition to our already innovative team,” said Drew Bland, Director of Branding and Programming for WWKA.  “We look forward to JR’s future contributions to the K92.3 brand.” 

Prior to this new role, Jaus has worked in radio, TV, and film for the last 10 years in San Diego and Los Angeles, including stops at Clear Channel’s San Diego Cluster and roles in Nickelodeon’s “Victorious” and ABC Family’s “Greek.”  Most recently Jaus hosted nights at CBS’ Energy 103.7 in San Diego. 

Jaus, a graduate from Point Loma Nazarene, said, “This is really an exciting opportunity for me. What Drew and his team are doing at K923 is so fresh and new. I am honored that they have invited me to be a part of it. It is going to be a challenging and fun adventure!”
