ATLANTA – Sept. 19, 2018 – Cox Media Group (CMG) today announced the sale of Mundo Hispánico (www.mundohispanico.com) to Mundo Hispano Digital Network (MHDN), a tech-focused media company created to serve the growth and needs of the US Latino community through its digital and written content, publishing reach and social media network.

Mundo Hispánico launched in 1979 and has served as metro Atlanta’s largest Spanish-language newspaper for nearly four decades. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution purchased Mundo Hispánico in 2004 and rapidly expanded the publication’s digital reach through MundoHispanico.com. Since its inception in 2015, MundoHispanico.com has cultivated a strong social media presence that includes more than 4.5 million Facebook followers and “MiMundo” communities that focus on topics such as fashion and money. The new Mundo Hispánico headquarters will be located in the heart of Atlanta’s Hispanic business district at 5269 Buford Highway, Atlanta, GA, 30340.
