Tuscaloosa, AL – Sept. 26, 2011 – Cox Media Group (CMG) Birmingham has launched 105.1 FM WALJ Jamz Rhythmic Hip Hop Station solely dedicated to the Tuscaloosa, Ala. market. The station, the first of its kind, has offices located at 534 14th Street Tuscaloosa AL 35401.
The new station is a full power FM that will feature The Roy Wood Jr. Morning Show with Nu York and B Money. Roy Wood Jr. is a comedian hailing from Birmingham and garnered national attention on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” as well stints on The Jay Leno Show, Comic View and HBO’s Def Comedy Jam.
