ATLANTA – Oct. 2, 2015 – Cox Media Group (CMG) celebrates its five 2015 National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Radio Award Winners named at the Oct. 1 awards gala in Atlanta. In an unprecedented year where CMG had 17 nominees from 10 markets, the company salutes its top winners, including:
- Adult Contemporary Station of the Year: WDUV-FM in Tampa, Fla.
- Classic Hits Station of the Year: KONO-FM in San Antonio, Texas
- Medium Market Personality of the Year: Dan Potter at KRMG-AM Tulsa, Okla.
- Medium Market Station of the Year: KRMG-AM in Tulsa, Okla.
- News/Talk Station of the Year: WSB News-FM/AM in Atlanta, Ga.
The NAB Marconi Radio Awards were established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi. These prestigious awards recognize stations and individuals for their excellence and performance in 21 different categories.

CMG’s other nominees this year included WHIO-AM in Dayton for Legendary Station; DJ Laz from WFLC-FM in Miami for Large Market Personality of the Year; WBLI-FM in Long Island, NY, WFLC-FM in Tampa, and WPUP-FM in Athens, Ga. for Contemporary Hits Radio; WMMO-FM in Orlando and WXGL-FM in Tampa for Classic Hits; KKBQ in Houston and WWKA-FM in Orlando for Country Station; WSUN-FM in Tampa and WXXJ-FM in Jacksonville, Fla. for Rock Station.
