Cox Media Group Connecticut Promotes Keith Dakin to Ops Manager, Director of Digital Strategy

MILFORD, CT – Aug. 20, 2012 – Cox Media Group (CMG) Connecticut has named Keith Dakin as its new Operations Manager and Director of Digital Strategy, effective Aug. 24.

In this new role, Dakin will oversee all programming, marketing and digital efforts for WEZN-FM STAR 99.9, WPLR- FM 99.1 and WFOX-FM 95.9.  Previously Dakin was CMG Connecticut’s Director of Rock Programming and Digital Strategy and led WPLR to a Marconi nomination in 2011.

Dakin is an experienced radio veteran having spent the last 15 years in the business in markets as varied as Boston, Mass., Richmond, Va., Nashua N.H. and New Haven, Conn. Before joining CMG Connecticut, Dakin was one of the first hired at CMG Richmond’s alternative start-up station WDYL.  He’s a graduate of the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University and spent seven years programming the legendary alternative station WFNX.
