HOUSTON – April 24, 2013 – Cox Media Group (CMG) Houston has named Judy Lakin as its new Director of Sales for the cluster. In this role, Lakin will oversee the entire sales department, and continue to be responsible for the Country Combo (KKBQ/KTHT). Additionally, Alana Thomas is CMG Houston’s new General Sales Manager for KGLK. Thomas’ primary responsibility will be on the market’s classic hits leader, The Eagle, but she will work closely with Lakin on cluster opportunities. Both positions are effective immediately.
Lakin joined Cox in 2000 and has been General Sales Manager of KKBQ and KTHT for more than 12 years. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Advertising Education Foundation of Houston and Houston Advertising Federation of America.
Thomas has been with CMG for seven years. Her career includes five years as Account Manager for KKBQ/KTHT, eight months at the Austin American-Statesman and one year as local sales manager for the CMG Houston cluster. She is currently involved with the Media Alliance of Houston and has served on the Houston Works Board since 2011.
