Cox Media Group Miami Names New Sales Leaders

MIAMI – Nov. 14, 2012 – Cox Media Group (CMG) Miami has named new sales leadership as it better aligns its sales strategy and collaboration between the four radio stations, WFLC 97.3 FM, WFEZ 93.1 FM, WEDR 99.1 FM and WHQT 105.1 FM.  The new assignments include:  

•    Jo Castro as General Sales Manager for WEDR and WHQT.  Previously, Castro was General Sales Manager of WEDR-FM.   

•    Mumball as General Sales Manager of Marketing Services.  Previously, Mumball was General Sales Manager of WHQT-FM.

•    Francisco Luciano as General Sales Manager of WFLC and WFEZ.  Previously, Luciano was General Sales Manager for WALR-FM, WSB-FM and WSRV-FM with CMG Atlanta.

•    Tony Yip as Local Sales Manager of WEDR, WFLC, WHQT & WFEZ.  Previously, Yip was General Sales Manager of WFLC-FM.   

“This new structure allows CMG Miami to better put our customers and their needs first instead of the needs of the individual stations,” said CMG Miami VP and Market Manager Dan Kearney. “It will also help us reduce redundancies of duties, save time and be more efficient in decision making.  I am excited that we have such great talent within our teams that we can tap for these important leadership assignments.” 

Kearney added that, with the creation of a Marketing Services Department, CMG “sales support teams” will be better maximized, allowing Account Executives to spend more time with clients and working on solutions. Additionally, the new Local Sales Manager position will help the cluster grow revenue, client satisfaction and develop people as well aid in the recruitment of new talent to CMG Miami.
