Aug. 24, 2018 – ATLANTA – Cox Media Group (CMG) has named Billy Farina as president of national ad platforms, effective Sept. 17, 2018. In his new role, Farina will provide strategic, business and operational direction and leadership to CMG’s national ad platforms, including CoxReps, Gamut and Videa.
“Billy brings more than 30 years of knowledge and expertise in national sales and advertising to this role,” said Brett Fennell, CFO and executive vice president of national ad platforms for CMG. “With his deep business acumen and keen focus on innovation and operational excellence, I am confident in Billy’s leadership and excited to welcome him to CMG.”
Well respected and valued for his contributions to the organization, Farina has spent most of his professional career with Cox. Since 2005, Billy has led Cox Media, Inc. (CMI), the advertising division of Cox Communications. Under his leadership the organization has nearly quadrupled in size. Billy is a recognized early adopter of digital platforms, driving significant digital revenue growth for CMI by securing alliances with nontraditional partners and entering data-driven programmatic channels. Billy is also a respected leader in the media and advertising industry. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Canoe Ventures, the Video Advertising Bureau and NCC Media.
