ATLANTA – July 22, 2011 – Katie Reid will join Cox Media Group’s (CMG) Revenue team as a Senior Director effective July 11. In this new role, Reid will work with Chief Revenue Officer Marc Morgan and VP of Revenue Paul Curran to create and implement sales strategies, employee recruitment, CMG conference planning, yield management and analytics. She also will act as a facilitator to all CMG consultants.
“Katie’s spirit of collaboration in Atlanta since the formation of CMG, combined with her tenure as a Senior Consultant at the Center for Sales Strategy (CSS), is the perfect talent blend to help our properties with their daily challenges,” said Curran. “Her promotion is a great example of how we’re able to tap into the existing talent across CMG’s direct marketing, newspaper, radio and TV businesses.”
Previously, Reid was General Sales Manager at Atlanta’s WSRV “The River,” where she has been since 2009. Additionally, she has held senior sales positions with Susquehanna Radio in Atlanta from 2002-2007 including Director of Sales responsibilities at Q100 and 99X. Before that, Katie was the GSM at Cox-owned WBTS “The Beat” in Atlanta from 1999-2002. Prior to her first stint with Cox Radio, Katie worked in Charlotte from 1995-1999 with Clear Channel radio.

Reid is a 1988 graduate of the College of Charleston (SC), where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.
