Cox Media Group Names Sarah Knott Senior Vice President of Finance

April 2, 2018 – Cox Media Group (CMG) has named Sarah Knott as Senior Vice President of Finance. In her new role, Knott will be responsible for Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis and Business Operations functions.

Prior to joining CMG, Knott was Vice President of Finance and Business Operations and National Sales for Cox Media, a division of Cox Communications. In that role, she served as the chief financial member of Cox Media’s senior leadership team, implementing process improvement tools and data analytics designed to maximize Cox Media inventory across sales channels. Knott also partnered with Sales in revamping its compensation plan to align with strategic goals and attract and retain top talent.

“Sarah is a great addition to our CMG team,” said Brett Fennell, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of National Advertising Platforms. “She has a proven track record as a finance and business partner and will provide strategic leadership that positions CMG for success.”

Knott’s 15-year career with Cox Communications includes various leadership roles in which she has driven business results for the company. After joining the company in 2003, she participated on the team that took Cox Communications private through the acquisition of $8.4 billion in outstanding publicly held shares. During that process, Knott managed the preparation, review and filing of all Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) documentation.

As Executive Director of Enterprise Planning and Analysis for Cox Communications, Knott implemented a driver-based financial planning model with best-in-class tools. She

has also built financial client support teams for the New Business, Human Resources, and Legal functions.
