ORLANDO, Fla. – March 18, 2011 – Cox Media Group (CMG) Orlando Radio has named Michael Saunders as Program Director for its urban radio station WCFB-FM, Star 94.5. Saunders will report to Len Shackelford, CMG Orlando Radio Operations Manager, effective March 21.
Saunders has been in the radio programming business for over 20 years. Most recently, Saunders worked as Operations Manager at CBS Radio in Washington, D.C. No stranger to Orlando, he has worked as Program Director for CBS’s WJHM-FM. Saunders has also worked as Program Director in New York, Detroit, and Los Angeles.
“I am looking forward to seeing what Michael’s expert knowledge and skills can bring to our cluster”, said Debbie Morel, CMG Orlando Vice President and General Manager.
