Cox Media Group Orlando Names Drew Anderssen as Program Director for WDBO AM/FM


ORLANDO – July 17, 2012 – Cox Media Group (CMG) Orlando Radio has named Drew Anderssen as Program Director for its award winning stations, FM 96.5 & AM 580 News Talk WDBO.   Anderssen will report to Susan Larkin, CMG Orlando Radio Vice President & Market Manager, and is effective Aug. 6.

Anderssen is currently Operations Manager/Program Director of News/Talk KRMG, CMG Tulsa, one of CMG’s top performing News/Talk stations and where he’s been since 1998.  He also serves on Cox Media Group’s Digital Brand Extension Committee. 

“Drew has had an incredibly successful track record leading the KRMG brand. His talent and passion for Digital Innovation will be a great asset not only for WDBO but for our entire cluster,” said Susan Larkin.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Anderssen has served as Program Director, Assistant Program Director, Research and on-air roles for CHR and alternative Rock formats in Texas and Oklahoma prior to his work in Tulsa.  He has been recognized among “The Best Program Directors in America” in 2011 by Radio Ink Magazine, as well as winning multiple National and Regional Broadcast awards.
