TULSA — March 13, 2014 — Cox Media Group (CMG) Tulsa Radio has named Randy Smith as its new General Sales Manager (GSM), effective immediately. In this role, Smith will be responsible for overseeing all sales activities and new client generation for the four-station cluster – KJSR Classic Rock 103.3 FM, KRAV Adult Contemporary 96.5 FM, KRMG News/Talk 102.3 FM/740 AM, and KWEN Country 95.5 FM.

Prior to joining CMG Tulsa Radio, Smith was GSM at CMG Tulsa’s TV stations KOKI-TV and KMYT-TV. He also spent five years as Local Sales Manager at the NBC affiliate in Tulsa, KJRH-TV. Before that, he held the positions of Local Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, and Director of Sales at Clear Channel Radio, also in Tulsa. During his time with Clear Channel, Randy was honored with several awards, including Clear Channel Outstanding Leadership Awards, AWRT Best of Broadcast “Best Radio GSM,” and Radio Wayne Awards National Finalist for Director of Sales.
Before entering the field of broadcast sales, Smith held sales management positions with Coors, Miller, and 7-Eleven. Altogether, Smith brings with him almost 30 years of experience in sales and marketing management.
