ATHENS – Jan. 4, 2011 – Eric Lauer will join Cox Media Group (CMG) Athens as Local Sales Manager for the six radio stations serving the Athens and Gainesville, Ga. market effective Jan. 10, 2011.
“We are excited to have Eric join the team,” said CMG Athens Director of Sales Michelle Catolico. “Eric’s knowledge of the Athens market and his success with business development and unique ability to coach will make him an asset to CMG Athens.”
Lauer comes to CMG Athens with five years at CMG Atlanta’s WSB-AM and 13 years in the radio business in both the Atlanta and Athens markets. He also has roots in Athens, as he served on-air at WGMG-FM and WGAU-AM.

Lauer is a graduate of The University of Georgia with a degree BBA in Management.
