Jimmy Farrell Promoted to Director of Sales for Cox Media Group’s Jacksonville Radio Cluster

JACKSONVILLE, FLA.— Cox Media Group (“CMG”) today announced Jimmy Farrell has been promoted to Director of Sales, effective immediately. In his new role, Farrell will be responsible for leading Cox Media Group’s Jacksonville radio stations through an overarching sales strategy, in-market goals, initiatives and advancements.

Farrell, a proud Alumni of the University of Miami, has spent 17 years with CMG in Orlando, Fla., and during that time span, he has managed the following radio stations: NEWS 96.5 WDBO, ESPN 580, K92.3, 98.9 WMMO and STAR 94.5. Farrell was responsible for motivating and coaching team members to meet and exceed objectives by setting goals, tracking weekly and monthly performance and implementing improvement strategies. Throughout his accomplished career, Farrell has served in various roles with increasing capacity while serving as a creative and strategic mentor and coach to his teams.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Farrell has served as the Chairman of the Board for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida for the past two years where he created and supported programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children and families.

Farrell is married to Lisa and has two children, Kirin and Austin.
