Joe Kelley Lands Morning Show Job with CMG’s WDBO in Orlando


Tulsa – Nov. 5, 2012 – Cox Media Group (CMG) Tulsa is proud to announce the host of the KRMG Morning News, Joe Kelley, is moving to another CMG talk radio station in Florida.

“This is quite clearly the most difficult career decision I’ve ever faced. My family and I have loved Tulsa since the moment we arrived more than 7 years ago,” said Kelley.  “Yet, moving to CMG’s Orlando news station, WDBO, has been a long-time goal of mine. The current, retiring host of WDBO’s morning news program has been there for 40 years. So this is, indeed, a rare opportunity.”

After Kelley’s announcement, KRMG’s Program Director, Levi May, didn’t have to look very far to find a new host to lead KRMG’s morning news program.  “We are very excited about the opportunity to promote from within, and Dan Potter brings his outstanding talent to mornings, and will further grow our listening audience.”   Potter’s first day as morning show host will be Monday Nov. 19. 

“Under Joe Kelley’s leadership, the KRMG Morning News has become the single most important morning show in Oklahoma, both in terms of content and listenership,” said Potter. “I hope to continue the growth Joe started and to attract new listeners to the show.
