HOUSTON – Award-winning, country music radio station, KKBQ-FM, The New 93Q, welcomes industry standout, Caitlin “CJ” Johnson, to its on-air talent lineup. Johnson will make her Houston radio debut on Monday, Nov. 11, hosting afternoon drive weekdays from 3 p.m to 7 p.m. She succeeds legendary host, Cactus Jack, who retired in August.
“I’m so excited to have CJ join the 93Q family,” says Johnny Chiang, Director of Operations for Cox Media Group (CMG) Houston. “Her enthusiasm, energy, and love of life make her the perfect fit for our strong on-air team. I can’t wait to introduce her to our listeners.”
Johnson hails from Florida where she completes a four-year on-air stint with CMG Jacksonville, most recently hosting afternoon drive for WAPE-FM, a top-40s format.
“I couldn’t be more honored to have the opportunity to join one of the best radio stations in the country,” states Johnson. “And I can’t wait to become a Houstonian!”
Johnson is available for local media interviews prior to her start date.
