Bill Hendrich

Executive Vice President , Cox Media Group

Bill Hendrich is Executive Vice President of Cox Media Group (CMG).  In this role, Bill currently oversees Jacksonville Radio and TV, Orlando Radio and TV, Tulsa Radio and TV, Miami Radio, Tampa Radio, San Antonio Radio, Long Island Radio, and Houston Radio.  Bill also has oversight of CMG’s Radio Programming, Radio Revenue team, and the Radio Digital Strategy team.  He also is responsible for driving over-arching industry issues for Radio.

Previously, Bill was responsible for programming, operations and sales for CMG’s more than 61 radio stations in 11 markets.  Bill also led the company’s Healthcare Acceleration efforts that help CMG’s markets and advertising sellers succeed in healthcare by providing the latest industry insights and developing proven marketing solutions that meet the needs of local healthcare practices, physician groups and locally-owned and operated hospitals.

Bill also was the VP and Market Manager of CMG’s six station radio cluster in Jacksonville, Florida.  In this position, Bill oversaw all sales, programming, digital and business operations for the cluster.

In 1989, Bill moved to Orlando from Mobile, Ala. to join New City Communications as the local sales manager of WWKA FM. He became the General Sales Manager of WWKA FM, AM580 WDBO and WCFB FM prior to being named VP and General Manager in 1996 when Cox Radio purchased the stations. He served as VP and General Manager of CMG’s AM580 WDBO and WWKA FM in Orlando for 10 years. He also oversaw the internet sales and operations for CMG Orlando.

Bill also served two terms on the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Radio Board of Directors and has served as the Chairman of the Florida Association of Broadcasters (FAB). He is a member of the Jacksonville Sports Council and is also active with The Players Championship serving on the Players Council Advisory Board.

He received his BA degree in Marketing from the School of Commerce and Business Administration at the University of Alabama. Bill and his wife Helen have two children, Philip and Jennifer.
