Bill Hendrich is Executive Vice President, Radio, of Cox Media Group, overseeing programming, operations and sales for the company’s radio stations. He also has oversight of CMG’s Radio Revenue team and Radio Digital team.
Prior to his current role, Bill led integrated Radio and TV in multiple major media markets for CMG. He also led the company’s Healthcare Acceleration efforts that helped CMG’s markets and advertising sellers succeed in healthcare by developing proven marketing solutions that meet the needs of local healthcare practices, physician groups, and locally-owned and operated hospitals. Bill also was the VP and Market Manager of CMG’s six-station radio group in Jacksonville, Florida. In that position, Bill oversaw all sales, programming, digital and business operations for the group.
Bill served as VP and General Manager of CMG’s AM580 WDBO and WWKA FM in Orlando for 10 years. He also oversaw the internet sales and operations for CMG Orlando.
Bill was elected to two terms on the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Radio Board of Directors and has served as the Chairman of the Florida Association of Broadcasters (FAB). He is a member of the Jacksonville Sports Council and is also active with The Players Championship serving on the Players Council Advisory Board.
Bill earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from the School of Commerce and Business Administration at the University of Alabama. Bill and his wife Helen have two children, Philip and Jennifer.
