Brett Fennell is Cox Media Group’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the financial performance and profitability strategies for the company.
In his role, Brett is also responsible for all engineering, strategy and legal functions. He also oversees all of CMG’s national ad platform businesses, including CoxReps and Gamut.
Brett was first named as CMG’s CFO in 2014, and then retained his position during the transition to the new CMG in 2019. Prior to his current position, Brett was VP of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) at Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, where he drove revenue and growth. His other Cox career highlights include Assistant Vice President of FP&A at Cox Enterprises, Director of Commercial Operations at Cox Communications Arizona, and Director of FP&A at Cox Communications.
Brett previously held finance management positions in the telecommunications industry with Verizon Wireless and AirTouch Communications. He started his career at T. Rowe Price, in Baltimore, MD.
He has a Master of Business Administration from Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. Brett and his wife Jennifer have two children, Griffin and Bryce.
