Mundo Hispánico Names Julio Saenz New General Manager

ATLANTA – Nov. 20, 2013 Julio Saenz will join Cox Media Group’s (CMG) Mundo Hispánico as the new General Manager effective immediately. In this role, Saenz will oversee all aspects of business, as well as set the strategic vision to increase the publication’s reach in the Atlanta market.

“Julio’s work experience gives him superior knowledge of all facets of Spanish-language media from revenue generation to content as well as all operational aspects,” said Mindy Buckalew, Director of Sales Strategy and Product Planning for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.  “Julio blends enthusiasm and energy with years of hands-on experience and has also demonstrated deep involvement in the Hispanic Community in all of the communities where he has worked. Saenz has more than 15 years of entrepreneurial and Hispanic Media experience.  Before joining Mundo Hispánico, Saenz ran his own company, Digital Diversity Inc. in Rochester NY which is a consulting firm helping people and companies develop strategies to maximize their reach of the Hispanic market. He has also held leadership positions with Gannett and Freedom Communications including serving as Publisher and Editor of Excelsior, a 65,000 circulation weekly published by the Orange County (CA) Register.
