Popular Radio Personality Takes On New Role at Cox Media Group Tulsa’s KRMG


TULSA – April 13, 2011 – Effective immediately, KRMG Morning News host Joe Kelley takes on new duties as the station’s News Director, as a part of a new long-term agreement.  He will continue to host The KRMG Morning News daily from 5:00 – 8:30 a.m. on KRMG.

“As the leader of our morning news program, Joe has helped us achieve significant success, with consistent top ratings and revenue performance in Tulsa morning radio listening,” said KRMG Operations Manager Drew Anderssen.  “We expect to continue to grow KRMG’s news operation to further meet audience expectations across multiple platforms, and Joe’s leadership and success with the team has made him the perfect fit for this role.”

Joe Kelley joined Cox Media Group Tulsa in 2005, as host of The KRMG Morning News.  He has been recognized many times over for his success as an on-air personality and community leader, serving on the board for several Tulsa non-profit organizations.  As a dedicated husband and father of four children and a two-time childhood cancer survivor, Joe champions for the families of children with life threatening illnesses through his involvement with Make A Wish Foundation of Oklahoma.
