Tulsa, OK — May 20, 2013 — KOKI-TV (a FOX affiliate) and KMYT-TV (a MyNetworkTV affiliate) announced today the promotion of Randy Smith to the position of General Sales Manager. Randy has served KOKI-TV and KMYT-TV since 2011 as a Local Sales Manager. Since the acquisition of these two stations by Cox Media Group, in December 2012, Randy has been instrumental in training the local sales staff and preparing them to adopt new procedures and selling methods.

Prior to joining KOKI-TV and KMYT-TV, Randy spent five years as Local Sales Manager at the NBC affiliate in Tulsa, KJRH-TV. Before that, he held the positions of Local Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, and Director of Sales at Clear Channel Radio, also in Tulsa. During his time with Clear Channel, Randy was honored with several awards, including Clear Channel Outstanding Leadership Awards, AWRT Best of Broadcast “Best Radio GSM,” and Radio Wayne Awards National Finalist for Director of Sales.
Before entering the field of broadcast sales, Randy held sales management positions with Coors, Miller, and 7-Eleven. Altogether, Randy brings with him 28 years of experience in sales and marketing management.
