Thursday, October 20, 2016 — Nominations Revealed, Online Voting Begins November 15
Laurissa Phillips, General Manager of Rare Country, introduces the first all-digital awards experience for country music fans. The RARE COUNTRY AWARDS will honor the “Best of 2016” in country music, including artists and performances. Fans cast their votes at RareCountryAwards.com. The official list of categories and nominees will be revealed on November 15, kicking off the official voting period. Winners will be announced at RareCountryAwards.com on December 15.
“The RARE COUNTRY AWARDS will focus on those artists who live our mission of ‘Being Rare’ and make an extraordinary effort to put their fans first, Phillips said. “This is a new, user-focused digital experience, unlike any other fan-voted awards. In addition to more-traditional awards categories, the RARE COUNTRY AWARDS will include unique, fan-centric nominations that will engage fans in exciting ways.”
She added, “As one of the fastest-growing media brands in country music, Rare Country is able to share our content with our parent company, Rare.us, whose website alone averages over 34 million visits per month. That same content is also syndicated across Rare’s social platforms exponentially increasing Rare Country’s reach. Rare and Rare Country’s combined social footprint includes over 17 million subscribers.”
