Tulsa’s KOKI-TV Expanding Green Country’s Weekend News Coverage

TULSA  – Dec. 3, 2013 – KOKI-TV is now expanding its fast growing morning news program to weekends.

The station’s award-winning morning news launched in April 2006 and has been growing ever since. FOX23 News This Morning is currently Green Country’s only station with non-stop local news coverage from 5 to 9 am. Now FOX23 News This Morning will air a two-hour newscast from 7-9am on Saturdays and Sundays.

Suzanne Nadell, News Director, says the expansion is part of the station’s commitment to Green Country.  ” We’re assembling a new team that will extend our growing Weekday Morning Newscast into the weekend.” Nadell adds ”We will work to bring Green Country the most accurate forecast and major news as they make their weekend plans.”

The weekend edition of FOX23 News This Morning will be anchored by Tulsa native and award-winning journalist, Tiffany Alaniz. Prior to joining the FOX23 News Team, Alaniz was the main anchor for KODE-TV in Joplin, MO.  Certified Meteorologist, John Boyer will join Tiffany on FOX23 News This Morning when the new expanded schedule launches on Saturday, January 4th, 2014 at 7am.
