Tulsa’s KOKI-TV FOX23 News Expands Weekday Evening Newscast


TULSA  — Aug. 26, 2013 — KOKI-TV, property of Cox Media Group (CMG) and  FOX affiliate serving the Green Country of Oklahoma, announced today that adding a half hour to its hour-long evening newscast FOX23 News at 5. The addition of FOX23 News at 6 comes after the appointment of Suzanne Nadell to News Director. Nadell previously served as the Executive Producer for CMG sister-station WSB-TV in Atlanta, GA.

The Award-winning broadcast journalists Clay Loney and Shae Rozzi will anchor FOX23 News at 5 and FOX23 News at 6 along with Chief Meteorologist James Aydelott Monday through Friday beginning on September 23, 2013. Veteran journalist Loney has nearly 30 years of experience, specializing in breaking news coverage and active reporting. Rozzi comes to FOX23 News from CMG flagship station WSB-TV. Her experience includes investigative and active reporting. Tulsa Native James Aydelott brings years of tornado chasing experience and is a severe weather and Doppler radar expert. 

This expansion positions FOX23 as Green Country’s only local station with non-stop local news coverage weekdays between 5 and 6:30pm.
