Tulsa’s KRMG News/Talk Radio to Air ‘The Martha Zoller Show’

>

TULSA – Sept. 6, 2013 – Listeners of Cox Media Group (CMG) Tulsa’s KRMG News/Talk 102.3 FM/AM 740 will hear a new voice when “The Martha Zoller Show” takes on the hottest political issues on Sunday nights, at 6 p.m. CT, beginning Sept. 8.

“It’s a great opportunity to add such talent as Martha Zoller, the new voice in conservative talk, to do a live talk show on Sunday evenings and focus on the topics that matter to KRMG’s listeners,” said KRMG Program Director Levi May.

Zoller also launched a Georgia news blog, www.zpolitics.com,  in early 2013, and it has quickly become the go-to place for “politics in a snap.”

“I’m very excited to be joining Newstalk KRMG on Sunday nights,” said Zoller.  “We’ll look at the week’s news and ahead to the big three things every week.”

Zoller is a force on the conservative political landscape. After graduating in 1979 from The University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism from the prestigious Grady School of Journalism, she worked in the corporate world and met a payroll.  She is a wife, mother and a stepmother.  She stayed at home and juggled children and working priorities.  Zoller says she knows there is no glass ceiling, and women can have it all, just not at the same time.

In September 2011, Zoller announced her candidacy for Congress in Georgia’s New 9th Congressional District and left the airwaves on May 11, 2012, to campaign full time.  She made it to the runoff in that race, but did not win the runoff. Zoller’s profile was raised substantially in this race and she used the fall to further conservative causes, help Mitt Romney get elected and increase our majorities in the House of Representatives and attempt to take back the majority in the United States Senate. Zoller joined Real PAC as a grassroots consultant in September, 2012 til March, 2013.

Zoller’s talk radio career began in 1994 after being a regular caller to WDUN AM 550.  Her first call to the station was prompted by Hillary Clinton’s lament that “she could have stayed at home and baked cookies.”   From 2008 to 2011, Zoller was syndicated on GNN. In 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011, She was named to the “Heavy Hundred” Talk Show Hosts in America by Talkers Magazine. For 2005, 2006 and 2007, Martha has been named to James magazine’s list of Most Influential Georgians and in 2005 Georgia Trend magazine named Zoller as one of Georgia’s most influential members of the media.   She has been regular panelist on Fox 5 Atlanta’s The Georgia Gang, has been seen on CNN, FNC and MSNBC and has appeared on ABC’s World News Tonight, The Newshour on PBS and NBC’s The Today Show.  Zoller has written for Human Events Online, Pajamas Media, Daily Caller and various other publications.  Her first book, Indivisible: Uniting Values in a Divided America, was released November, 2005 from Stroud and Hall Publishers. In 1997, Zoller won to GABBY for Best Locally Produced Talk Show in Georgia.  From 1996 to 2001, Zoller hosted the award winning public affairs program, “The Brenau News Forum.”

She joined Cox Media Group on WXKT FM 103.7 in November, 2009 and returned to the airwaves on WGAU in Athens in January on “Zoller and Bryant.”  On March 11, 2013, “Zoller and Bryant” went statewide in Georgia.  GNN will pick up the syndication in September 2013.
