WSB Radio Host Scott Slade Nominated for National Radio Hall of Fame

ATLANTA – Cox Media Group is proud to recognize Scott Slade, host of Atlanta’s Morning News on News 95.5 and AM750 WSB (WSB-AM/WSBB-FM), and his nomination to the National Radio Hall of Fame, Spoken Word On-Air Personality category.

“To be inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame alongside my friends and colleagues Neal Boortz and Clark Howard would be a huge honor and the crown jewel of my 50 years in broadcasting; second only to working for WSB, the legendary station I listened to and admired growing up. I am very grateful for and humbled by this nomination,” says Slade.

Radio listeners can cast their votes starting July 15 through Votem, a third-party online voting system. Winners will be announced Aug. 5.

“Scott is truly dedicated to the listeners of Atlanta. Throughout his 25-year tenure with WSB Radio, he has truly defined what it means to be a morning news host. His relentless hard work, energy and grace epitomize WSB’s slogan: Depend on it,“ says Pete Spriggs, director of branding and programming for WSB.

“I am thrilled to see Scott recognized with this nomination,” says Donna Hall, vice president of marketing and radio/newspaper operations for Cox Media Group Atlanta. “He is not only the best in the business but is also one of the finest people I’ve ever known. Scott is trusted in Atlanta to deliver the news, weather and traffic to our listeners – just the way they want it. Congratulations to Scott!”
